Sitting on the fence

I had to be up early this morning to be at the dentist for 10 a.m.  That's a further filling replaced, and another raid on the credit card.

It's a gloomy day, so the fire is on and I've been tackling a jigsaw puzzle and watching the birds.  We had six of these stock doves in the garden the other day, and as one of them didn't have a dodgy wing, we know there are more in the vicinity.  We've only ever had three visit at any one time previously.
