Impressionistic tulip

I tried the PV technique with a decaying tulip but I don't feel it is nearly as successful as my Dancing Rose. I think it is the rose's sepals that make all the difference. in making it a better composition. The number of layers are the same - 10 loaded into Photoshop. However, it doesn't matter. This is a new experimental technique for me and some  results will be less successful than others.
