A haggis flies

“Flying Haggis” is a new art work by David Mach unveiled tonight during a Burns Night Webinar entitled “Art of the Burns Supper” organised by Glasgow University’s Centre for Robert Burns Studies and the educational technology company Efify .

It was a pleasure & privilege to attend, not least to hear Prof Gerry Carruthers lead us through the many issues surrounding the annual celebration of Burns and to watch Dr Pauline Mackay ( in avatar form) introduce us to a range of objects at a virtual Burns Supper and then take us ( virtually again) to “Kirk Alloway in a bleeze.” .

As it happens Gerry is toasting the Immortal Memory on Saturday night at Kilcreggan , where I am due to Toast the Lassies , with a reply from Jackie Baillie.
