Shots 1 Southend 1

It all started so well!  A brilliant move saw Jaydon Harris collect the ball and volley it around the Southend defender before passing to Bradley Webb who picked out Ryan Glover on the other side of the penalty area who made no mistake with a bullet header to put the Shots up after only five minutes.  First ten minutes or so we were on fire, but we then decided to defend deeper and deeper allowing Southend to dominate possession.  As a tactic, this might work with the very top teams, but it never works with teams in the fifth league and sure enough we conceded in the 87th minute.  A draw is better than a defeat I suppose, but we could have got three.
