The sun came back today and I spent the morning at Ely cathedral, which looked breathtakingly beautiful as the sun lit up the stained glass. Tucked away in the Lady Chapel is a small exhibition of historic christening robes and ecclesiastical embroidery dating from just after 1900 to now. The gold work was exquisite (extras) but the christening robes stole my heart. The stitching was incredible and it was hard to choose one for today's blip but this one just about edges it over the pair in extras. Then again...
