Cryering with sad laughter

I’m hugely saddened by the death of Barry Cryer, announced today.

He wasn’t just a colossus of comedy who enriched life immeasurably, but I felt another bond, as he was also a fellow sufferer of extreme eczema, which hospitalised both of us several times.

That didn’t stop him making the world a funnier, more bearable place, but it did make my ex-wife forbid me from playing I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue tapes/disks when driving as she felt I was fundamentally unstable with laughter when they were on.
(She was probably right.)

RIP & thanks Baz
