Migration

There have been lots and lots of Redwings around today, an almost constant strem of them passing through on their way north. Most of the Redwings here are thought to be Icelandic breeders but some will no doubt be heading towards Scandiavia. A friend report nearly 400 in his location today which is 10km south east of us.

I'm ashamed to say that this is the best photo i could manage of these lovely birds - they were very skittish and every time i set foot through the door they were off!
