Flower Friday

I created this abstract image of an African violet for Flower Friday. For many years, I have experimented with altering my photographs by using filters, added textures, and other techniques with varying degrees of success. I like kaleidoscope, and mirror effects when applied to photographs, and I am often surprised by the pattern that emerges when I use these techniques, especially when combined together. I resort to this sort of thing when I cannot get out of my own backyard to make new images elsewhere.
