Snack on the Wing !

I heard the Kites way before I saw them, by the time I had found my camera they were very high but I managed to get a few shots, and when viewed on my computer although not very sharp I was surprised this guy had a meal in his grasp!
Any suggestions as to whether it is fur or feather would be appreciated.
