Beyond the bowstring

Once upon a time on this site stood a lovely Bowstring Bridge which was sadly demolished in 2010.. A sad fate for such an emblematic and meaningful structure. At the time of its removal the area felt bare and empty and it seemed that this city had no pride in its heritage.
Things have grown back, as cities do, but this phase of development somewhat uninspiring, and meaningless in comparison!
