Coober Pedy cut off by floods

It’s famous for opal mining, underground houses and eccentric characters, but Coober Pedy is not usually associated with torrential rain and floods. Now, according to media reports, Coober Pedy is cut off by flood damage to both the highway and the railway line. The town is running out of fresh food and supplies are being airlifted in. There must be something in this climate change thing.
