Woodland Walk

Cosmo took me to the woods today to see the damage caused by the storm yesterday.

Even before we got to the woods we saw the council was busy on the main road cutting down damaged branches. In the wood itself we saw several trees either fallen, and others (like the one in the picture) ready to fall but leaning against other trees. Some were overhanging the pathway, so we went past those pretty quickly. Cosmo enjoyed the walk and we were out for quite a long time. She was sleepy in the afternoon.

The weather was quite calm for most of the day, but in the afternoon it became very cloudy. Late evening it started to rain and the wind became very strong again. Another weather warning for the wind again tonight.
