A WAVE ACROSS THE BAY

Storm Corrie's wind had died down by this morning but the sea was still agitated. Considering it was a westerly gale it was surprising to see waves crashing over the Breakwater in the background. It's usually the easterlies that do that.
We wasted an hour an a half getting the hard sell on a new bay window this afternoon. It was just a chance enquiry at the door, but replacing our old one is somewhere on the agenda, just not yet, and definitely not at the price the salesman eventually came up with after giving us the full patter. As B said, if he'd done the measuring first and given us a rough figure then we could have said no in ten minutes and saved everybody's time.
