Perfect finish to January

This day has been perfect for us.  We walked on the beach and found dozens of live conch shells.  Because it was so cold, we took as many as we found and put them back in the water.  We were afraid that they would freeze before high tide took them back into the Gulf.
We stocked up on groceries and sent out some postcards, came home for a delicious lunch, spent an hour reading some very interesting books, and then headed out to explore.
The bikes are our preferred way to get around here.  We visited all the places we've stayed in the past, and the resort that my cousin owned 40 years ago.
His beautiful south seas bungalows have been replaced with a condo complex, and all they kept was the name, "Hurricane House". 
That's ok, because right across from it the water that's been there forever is still home to a little alligator!!
It's been an absolutely wonderful day!
