Blood orange marmalade

We bought a half share in a case of blood oranges, organic and unwaxed, direct from the orchard in Sicily! This was through the ‘Crowdfarming’ setup. We love fresh squeezed orange juice for breakfast so it seemed like a great idea!
However I don’t want any to get past their best so I thought I would try making a batch of marmalade and see how it came out.
Well it’s delicious! Subtly different from Seville, slightly softer and mellower and with a distinctive flavour. Great colour too!
We will certainly enjoy eating some and there may be a few premium jars at the market stall but not many!!
