Many mani

Mani stones are inscribed with mantra as a show of devotion in Tibetan Buddhism. They can be inscriptions on rocks next to rivers, high on cliff faces or as piles of inscribed pebbles in towns and villages that form centres of devotion that people visit daily.

Where they grow into big piles they are quite spectacular and Tibetans walk round them in a clockwise direction as they pray.
