Hiking elephant

My husband, who taught German many years ago, was highly amused when I showed him this phrase that I had to learn on my German course.  There was also a phrase about an owl not hiking in winter - personally I don't think an owl hikes at any time of the year....

It has been sunny some of the afternoon, but now the flat grey sky has returned.
