Ink Transfer technique.

I'm starting an assignment this month with the Cold Wax Academy guys.  For this month i will be doing 20 or more smallish paintings on paper, 10" x 10" and 12" x 12" with the idea of doing quick paintings - instead of labouring over each piece for days etc., the suggestion is to be more spontaneous, intuitive but also paying attention to composition and hopefully incorporating some new techniques.   So i've decided to explore ink transfer technique and these are just some tests in a sketch book. It feels like it's a bit of a laborious process, but i'm sure with some explorations i'll get better at it.   i'm also going to incorporate collaged paper that i've made....the ink transfers will be mostly to do with the birth of my daughters, 33 years ago.   Now that they are mothers it is unleashing a lot of memories...but of course right!!!   anyway, it's just the basis of an idea and i'm excited to get exploring.

Went up to Sydney today to buy some materials for this project, it has been a sunny cold day - perfect for a drive!
