BHG

I went out to get some fresh air. The sun was out so I put the lid down but it was very windy so I got a bit cold - not so much that I pulled over to put the roof back up but it went up when I got where I was going. And that was the exotic and mysterious Ilse de Sheppey. I started off at Minster Leas and then went around to Leysdown. The views across the estuary were wonderfully clear, I could almost see folk eating winkles in Southend.

I'm sure that you all recognise the bird in the blip - it's a black-headed gull in its first winter plumage. There were also a few herring gulls, oystercatchers, a turnstone and some crows.
