The Edge of the Wold

By gladders

An equal and opposite reaction

The jackdaw has learned Newton's Third Law of Motion, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.  He has to hang on tight to the branch as he pokes the fat ball in the feeder.  And then the feeder swings back and nearly knocks him off the perch.  But he's worked it out and he and his starling pals are getting through food at an impressive rate.

I had a bit of a lazy day today.  Caroline spent an hour and a half in the dentist's chair, while I kept Gus company at home watching the antics of the birds in the garden.
