Roadmap Out Of Lockdown Step 4 (Take 2) - Day 7

Avon Valley Railway, Bitton

“Opened in 1869 by the Midland Railway as a through-route between Birmingham and the South Coast the line was later linked to the iconic Somerset & Dorset Railway. Closed under the Beeching Axe of the 1960's the Avon Valley Railway was preserved by an enthusiastic group of volunteers. Today, 40 years on, three miles of track has been re-laid, locomotives and carriages restored, and the sound of steam can once again be heard along the Avon Valley.”

With it being another mild sunny morning (11), and the last chance for a while to get everyone out, popped down the road to Bitton for an hour, for a cuppa and cake on the station platform. Then home for my first dose of Winter Olympics, to watch the GB mixed doubles curling team beat Sweden. Late this afternoon ended up back at the doc’s, new course of treatment being tried as previous two failed.

Take care, stay safe and well...

(Thank you so much for all your kind comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s Snowdrops and early Hoverfly.)
