Day 2

Moving on from yesterday's beginnings....the ink transfer process is pretty irritating and labour intensive, still can't decide if it's what i want to do when starting these paintings!    So this is still me experimenting with this process....wanting to find out how the cold wax and oil paints work on top of these collaged and transfer elements!  

I used my oil sticks to begin with then pulled some cold wax over them, this is very different from the way i'm used to working with cold wax, which  i usually mix with the oil paint then apply!   i'm liking the transparent nature of these marks under the cold wax....still lots of experimenting to do!  

Jane and I took Charlotte out for her birthday lunch...she turned 91 yesterday!   What a joy it is to sit with a woman, an artist in her own right, at this age and listen to her take on life!   We all had a very enjoyable couple of hours, i forget to take my camera....dah!!!!
