The steam box being readied for action

Several oak timbers, and later planks, at a time can be placed in this box along with the hose from a small boiler. The end is bunged up with old blankets or whatever is at hand. Steam is applied for, say half an hour, which softens the wood so that it can bent into shape on the boat. First steaming to take place later today or tomorrow.
