Storm damage. Malik and Corrie

Another huge amount of storm damage from the weekend and early this week. The first storm was Malik named by the Dutch meteorological office. Following that was storm Corrie named by the UK weather people. Both storms have done loads of damage. This gable end is Cuba Street in Sunderland.  Everywhere you go there is evidence of major damage. I walked in the park today- see extra.  Loads more trees are down. 
Apparently the home owner didn't realise his gable had fallen and when the informant said your car has been crushed he was very upset, came round the corner to look at the car, cheered up and said its OK, it's the wife's car. 
I don't know if this story is true as it was told to me by a stranger passing by.
