Tree surgery

This big job broke out over the road today. The tree was a good 6 ft higher than the roof of the house. I thought they would get rid of the whole tree but they left soon after this photo was taken with less than half of it removed. Plus there is another of similar height close to it which was obscured by the half-chopped one before. They are both in the garden of the corner house there and I am surprised nothing has been done to them till now. The telephone wires were trapped in the tree so maybe that's why they have just cut the top off it or maybe they will return to finish the job.
Had a walk but only a local one, mainly around streets. Saw a couple of streets I've not been to before and some little short-cuts.
It was a breezy day with some sunshine at times and the washing dried well.
