Memorials.

“Charlie’s Stanes” were placed on “Charlies Hill” in the late 18th century; according to traditional narrative Bonnie Prince Charlie was based here during the initial stages of a significant battle in 1746. Orders were issued from here during the battle and prisoners interrogated. The standing stones area needs cleared out, it’s quite neglected, overgrown once again. Photo taken at the start of our walk, just off the beaten track; a mild morning.

Family are well. They had evening work on - some long days and short nights for them just now.
