BCSplash - Kaboom!!!

It's Friday and time for our new BCSplash.

This week we are continuing with the weather theme.
January ended and February began with two major storms lashing many parts of the U.K. For some that's a time to relax by the fire with a good book and a cup of tea and wait for them to blow over, but others, like blipper StuartDB, see this as an opportunity to get outside and have some fun.

And did he grab the opportunity? What an incredible and well timed photograph. You can truly feel the power of the waves and the strength of the wind as the lighthouse and pier are battered by the storm.

"Not a day for fishing off the pier.  he damage from Storm Arwen included bending the top of the lighthouse and putting in some of the windows. Saturday's Storm Malik was a big bugger too - plenty of trees and fences lying around the town.  The over night blustering of Storm Corrie was a pussy cat by comparison but has given us some good North Seas!"

Thank you Stuart for sharing this.

A chance to shout about Blipfoto!
You may recall back in early January Blipfoto featured on the Photography Daily podcast. If you missed it you can find out more here.

Neale the host mentioned during the podcast that he would love for blippers to share their 365 journal or favourite photo by email to studio@photographydaily.show for the possibility of being featured on the podcast website's Community 365 page.

A great opportunity for us spread the word and encourage more photographers to join Blipfoto if you have a few minutes to share your photos.

Wondering what #BCsplash is?
Well, we’re always on the lookout for eye-catching images to be included on our Facebook and Twitter headers as well as here on the community blog. Pick out a photo that would make an appealing first impression to visitors and add the tag #BCsplash.

We'd love to see new members taking part too - it’s a great way we can help introduce you to the community and showcase your images alongside Blipfoto. Plus, we really enjoy looking through your images every week!

This is where you’ll find us!
