Snow Buntings

I haven't seen many of these the last couple of winters but I heard of a flock in Evie, so headed up there. I found the flock of about 80 birds but they are very flighty so difficult to get any decent shots, especially given the near gale-force wind. On the beach, kelp fly are hatching in their thousands and birds gathering to feast, like the purple sandpipers and turnstones in the extra.
