Greenheart

Wigan Flashes Local Nature Reserve was cloudy, blustery and sunny in its turn this afternoon, but it's a place I love to wander round in any weather (and I've photographed it in everything!)
The Greenheart symbol was installed by Wigan Council, who along with Lancashire Wildlife Trust and The Canal and River Trust, manage the reclaimed waterways, Flashes and land previously reclaimed from past industry, mainly mining.
The Leigh Branch of the Leeds/Liverpool Canal looking towards Wigan is on the R, and Scotmans Flash, used by fishermen and Wigan Sailing Club, is on the L.
