Storm Corrie - Allotment

Another email this week from the allotment secretary about damage to our allotment hut.  This time the reporting was right and Storm Corrie had taken out one of our windows.  We did an emergency repair and hope it will hold past the bad weather forecast for the weekend.

It was very cold this morning but I still managed to get out for a run - three top layers, buff, hat and gloves.  It's a wonder I can move with all those layers!

We headed to the Cameo to see the National Theatre Live production of "Leopoldstadt"  by Tom Stoppard.  The play is set in the Viennese Jewish community in the first half of the 20th century following the lives of the extended Merz family.  Over six decades you see the persecution and gradual erosion of their rights.  Although the play touches on more than this. The final scene is very emotional. It's an important play.

I rounded off the day with a  long zoom chat with two old work colleagues.  We hope the next time we can get back to meeting for lunch.
