Environment? Invaders?  I've had to work an office* only a few times in my life, but these really give me the eeby-jeebies.

*MOD on Whitehall was the worst, but I spent a week when I was about eighteen at the British Standards Institute on Holloway Road putting some files into alphabetical order.  I had someone working with me who had been there a while, but every morning he needed me to write down the alphabet for his reference . . .
