Ice Castle

We went to the Ice Castle Friday, which is put on each year at Soldier Hollow. This is the park where the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics held the cross country and biathlon events.

The Ice Castle runs about a month or so in winter, they use 25,000 ( imperial) gallons of water to create the event. The structures have changing colored lights inside, amazing icicles and ice slides for the brave.

It was a wonderful but freezing cold evening, we lasted about an hour before heading to the car for warmth!
