Birthday Weekend

I’m working for P’s birthday tomorrow so I made an effort on the food side of things today.
Local wild mushrooms on sourdough bread with poached eggs for breakfast.
Homemade smoked mackerel on crackers with an old favourite, anchovy olives, for a snack in the late afternoon.
The main affair was naturally-smoked haddock risotto. The cake, a bit too rich for me chocolate mousse cake.
