Obsessed

I've always been fond of bees.  They were the first macros that I really got into when I first started with blip - now more years ago than I care to remember.

I do prefer the blue banded native, but they have been severely displaced by the semi-feral European honey bees.

Don't get me wrong, we all love our honey, but honey bees are becoming a real problem due to the proliferation of backyard hives.  The bees are taking over hollow trees in the bush and displacing native birds.

And of course they are pinching all the nectar and pollen that the native bees also depend on.

A very difficult situation, somewhat akin to olives.
