Waiting for the post

The arrival of the post doesn’t hold quite the same excitement as it once did - even on my birthday. Still, a couple of cards popped through the letterbox today which is always nice.  Mostly birthday wishes come via social media, email or other electronic means - it’s nice that people still acknowledge the day in some way all the same.

Nice of them to remember too - I managed to forget it is also our wedding anniversary this morning!!! Oops!
