‘Total Dilapidation’

I’ve been watching the decline of this letterbox for several years. I don’t think it was being used when I first noticed it, some ten years ago. 

Today, the state of dilapidation is now almost complete - the flap is stuck, the surrounding panel - itself attached with a series of fires and nails - has lost its little ‘letters’ sign. The box beneath, which has lost most of its paint, is attached perilously to the remains of an equally dilapidated fence. Even the garden gate has gone.
