Fight!

Went along the Water to put in a shift on the walkway, mostly scraping and brushing the steps down from Keddie Park and then scratting weeds out from the edge of the path. Apparently there was an otter sighting too - although  the river was pretty whiffy today, so he'll doubtless have headed off upstream like a sensible animal.

There was a terrible racket going on for about 5 minutes, splashing and flapping, but couldn't see who was at it apart from mallards. But as I was walking home I found them at it again - two males, really going for it, beaks at each other's necks, pulling out wing feathers, etc. Not a female in sight. Must be an excess of testosterone.

Later, a maths tutorial. The excitement is.....bearable.
