Catkins - are NOT the Big News of the Day!

My photo has absolutely nothing to do with the BIG news of the day which is - Australia has at last opened its international borders to visitors!

Many of you here on Blip know that pre-pandemic I spent about 6 months of each year in Queensland, where my son and all 4 grandchildren live. I haven't seen them for 20 months.

As soon as I heard the news this morning I jumped on the Aus Immigration website to apply for my visitor EVisa - done! I spent a few hours looking at flights, watching options disappear and prices go up by the hour - finally jumped in and booked (I had a sizeable voucher to spend after Qantas stopped flying almost 2 years ago) and it's done! I can hardly believe it!
