DAY 11 - MORE VISITORS

One of the reasons we chose this cottage was so that it easy-ish for my sister to visit (with an invite to stay) and for todays guests to visit and stay.
They were leaving Bonnie Scotland at 11 so we knew we had time to get into Hexham again. The Rev went into the abbey whilst I did an online lesson from the car!!!! (rubbish wifi in the cottage) then whilst he walked Daisy I visited the abbey :)))
#after yesterday’s freezing temperatures and a shivering Daisy, much against The Revs thinking, he bought her this new coat. She was very waggy wearing it :)))
By 12 o’clock we realised it was nearly lunchtime and we hadn’t even had breakfast!!! So we stop at a very friendly pub in Allendale (the nearest village to us 16 mins away) ….where they served a delicious fish finger sandwich..yum!
Then chatting to the locals we realised our guests were due in 20 mins…mad dash back and we pulled up together!!! Such luck.
#This is Tom…The Revs boss from the oil industry when he was 20 and the guy responsible for telling him to buy me a coffee…”she fancies you…”
We’ve had a lovely afternoon..some serious puzzling…back to the pub in Allendale..like locals now …then the Rev cooked a delicious steak meal and the rest of the evening was spent reminiscing and watching the Winter Olympics.
