Back in Time

When I first joined BlipFoto in January 2021 I remember seeing several images of ghost signs. I said at the time that I would be looking out for some in Plymouth. I have seen a few, but I think most have probably been lost as a result of the extensive bomb damage during the war and the relentless re-development of the city. This example on Plymouth's Barbican has been more enduring and recalls the days when the railway stretched down to the Barbican and to Millbay Docks, where transatlantic passengers boarded trains for London.
