Fish trap

This loch is called Loch na Ciste which could be construed as Gaelic for 'loch of the fish trap' and the one upstream is called Loch nan Geirreann which almost certailny comes from ON ker = 'fish trap'. 
The river here must have been prolific in earlier times. Sadly no more I fear.
