Town View

MrsB and I took advantage of the sunny afternoon for a stroll up to Haigh Hall, which overlooks our home town of Wigan, down in the Douglas Valley.
Seat of an ancestral home since the late C12, it has been rebuilt through the ages, and is now owned by the Council and has 250 acres of country walks, formal gardens, local artisan shops and an 18-hole Golf Course.
The views over the Douglas Valley to the South-West across the golf course are wonderful on a day such as we had today, and clearly in view in the middle right is the Parish Church!
