Pale Brindled Beauty

Another beautiful moth offering from my friend Graham's trap. This moth the Pale Brindled Beauty (Phigalia pilosaria) is another early species I have yet to find in my garden.
Like the Spring Usher yesterday, only the males have wings with the wingless females sitting on tree trunks waiting for males to come to them.
It is fairly common in England and Wales.
