Decadence and Deceit

..was the title of today’s talk at Torquay Museum. The subject was Devon’s literary scandals, and mainly this was about Oscar Wilde who stayed in Torquay at a house called Babbacombe Cliff in 1892/3. It was owned by Lady Mount- Temple, his wife’s distant cousin.
Later it became a hotel and is now apartments - extra. After the talk I drove up the road to Babbacombe and photographed it.
