Ice fog

We started the day with thick ice fog. Not something that happens here very often. This first shot is the creek and our osprey nest. The extras are the Carolina jasmine and hubby in our skiff. Once the sun came up we decided to go beach combing. We picked up about 25 treated lumber boards around the shore and on the sandbar that separates the creek from the river. They washed up from a storm that took out piers a while back. With out a small boat they can not be retrieved in the tight areas where we were. If they do not get picked up they will float out again with the next storm and can be very dangerous to boaters as they float at water level once they are waterlogged. We will use them to repair our piers and seawall that took a rough hit twice this winter so far.
