The Family….

Around lunchtime today I made a quick trip to the lake at the Taylor Dam. I saw a little family of black swans resting up on a tiny islet. They had some babies tucked down almost out of sight… it was such a tranquil scene.
Maisie and I had a great early walk with friend Denise and Harry the Spoodle. Both dogs were extremely energetic and busy. We met other dog-walking friends… so much fun.
Later in the morning I took our battery-powered lawn mower to the experts. It has developed a fault - in Kiwi slang it had “packed a sad”. I hope it doesn’t take too long to be repaired because our very shaggy lawns are overdue to be mown.
