It was 20 years ago today…..

So 2 decades ago The Times launched its new text font Times Classic. I remember it well but most readers never noticed the difference. I was one small cog in the print machine and today some of us involved met to celebrate the occasion. This was an early mark-up of comments on the font by the American type designer Ed Benguiat.
