Windy Post

I took a trip to the far side of the moor today. It was a fine day that started with a frosty morning. There was a brisk wind blowing as I walked from the car park at Pork Hill but it wasn't cold with a bit of warmth coming through from the sun.

It's a popular spot with walkers and dog walkers but I had a little while on my own before anyone came along. People usually pass on through fairly quickly.

My photo is looking up the Grimstone and Sortridge leat to the small weir which allows a small amount of water to go down the other channel to farms and dwellings. In the centre is King's Tor and on the left the transmitter mast at North Hessary Tor.
