Hidden stairway!

Back when we lived in Tuxford someone posted about the stairs in East Markham but I never could find them….until today!!

I found them quite by accident using a Strava route to get a new route in and my required 8 miles.

It was a mix of path, fields and trail taking us along the a1 hidden in forest at one point, as we turned to descend there the stairs were!! Technically on the cusp of East Markham but only just!! Descending into a field and into a public footpath I realised I knew exactly where I was on a familiar running route!!

Glad to have found them, not sure if I would like to run up them though!!
