Nudging gently

Back in January I observed it would be good to ship some of the windfarm jackets out to sea, before bringing in the next lot. A need to clear the shelves so to speak. As you can see, the cupboards are full. And here's another shipload. And there's another shipload waiting a couple of miles offshore. Someone needs to sort out the scheduling.

But what made us pause is this act of docking. The ship moving barely perceptibly towards the jetty on the left hand side of the picture. Two tugs with bow fenders (you can only see one here) nudging it gently, gently, diagonally backwards. At this point barely applying any movement at all, because the pilot doesn't want to shove the jetty into the next parish. There's a lot of kinetic energy in that ship right now.
